Longfields is an established multi-disciplinary therapeutic service run by Action for Children in partnership with Wrexham County Borough Council and the Wrexham Local Health Board. Services are provided for traumatised children and young people as well as their families. A range of therapeutic interventions are employed drawing on interventions known to be clinically effective. The project has made an investment in professional development in cognitive behavioural therapy.

This post will involve working in a multi-disciplinary setting, where you will carry a therapeutic case load. You will employ therapeutic interventions which are demonstrably effective, evidence based and outcome focused. You will work in a team of experienced practitioners who will provide peer support with the addition of line management and supervision.

You will have:-

* Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council or have a professional qualification in social work
* You will also have had some therapeutic training in Solution Focused practice and / or Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
* Or you will have an advanced therapeutic qualification with significant experience in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy &/or Solution Focused Therapy
* Experience of direct work with children, young people or families presenting a range of difficulties
* Skills in relation to assessment, therapeutic interventions, particularly solution focussed and outcome measurement
