You'll be there to provide support to young people in danger of becoming high risk drinkers, and involving their families or carers wherever possible. Acting as both supporter and facilitator, you will provide education, support and guidance to young people, parents and youth groups, schools (primary and secondary) and other agencies working with young people around the dangers of alcohol misuse.

Working jointly with police, anti-social behaviour (ASB) unit and emergency health providers you will provide targeted and brief interventions for those young people and their parents engaged in ASB and alcohol misuse and refer them on to appropriate services if required.

You will need to have excellent listening skills, balanced with a team-orientated and proactive attitude, as well as demonstrable experience in working with young people in a health, social care or criminal justice setting.
