A leading national charity are looking for an additional Community Fundraiser, to enable their events programme to flourish even further. The role is home based and they are looking for someone to be based in Scotland who is not adverse to travelling on occasion.

As the new Community Fundraiser you will be given a large contract, and will have a fund-raising target of around £200k so the role requires an experienced individual who has proven experience of similar targets. There is an opportunity for you to have an input into challenge events, developing and growing supporter led events and initiating and managing gala events within your region. It is an exciting time for the charity and you will be part of a friendly team, led by an experienced Head of Fund-raising who is tasked to grow the charity’s income in the coming years.

You must come from a community fundraising background. All candidates must be empathic due to the delicate subject the charity is dedicated too. You will need to have experience of working with volunteers and volunteer fundraisers and be able to maximise potential through networking and cultivation. You will be responsible for managing your own workload and will be expected to act on your own initiative, using your own contacts and energy to follow up opportunities and drive new developments forward. You will be educated to a high standard.
