Community Link Worker

Richmond Fellowship

Permanent
Full Time
Blackpool

Giving thousands of people each year a new sense of purpose and fulfilment, we’re one of the UK’s biggest providers of mental health care. Join our Community Service in Blackpool and become part of the most innovative organisation in the country.

A key figure within the team, you’ll build invaluable bridges between our service and the local community. Through group work and one-to-one support, you’ll enable service users to realise their personal aspirations and goals by supporting them to access a wide range of community-based opportunities. This will see you reviewing the programmes and forging a network of links with community groups, in line with the individual’s developmental needs.

As such, you’ll need some experience of working with adults with mental health problems, ideally within a community setting. The ability to lead group working, prepare individual development plans and motivate others is important too, as is a real understanding of the social model of disability. Communication skills are also vital, along with the ability to network and liaise with external groups.

We can offer you 25 days holiday, increasing up to 30 days (plus bank holidays), pension, life assurance, childcare vouchers, four weeks paid retention leave after five years’ service and the opportunity to really develop yourself and others.
