Help us to help people reduce their risk of cancer

We are looking for a motivated nurse or health promotion specialist to work on our information unit in the Glasgow area. You’ll need to have a strong interest in health promotion and be an excellent communicator.

Salary: £20,710 – £24,152 (Full Time Equivalent) plus car allowance on top
Hours: 28 hours per week, over four days
Location: Glasgow area

Purpose of role:

You’ll provide face-to-face cancer prevention and early detection information on a travelling cancer awareness roadshow.

The role will involve travelling. We will provide introductory training and orientation at our London offices.

Following successful roadshows in 2009, four ‘walk in’ mobile information units will be touring parts of the UK, 4 days per week, from April to November 2010. They will be mainly based in town centre shopping areas and community settings. Their aim is to provide information on cancer prevention, screening and signs and symptoms of cancer to local communities who are at higher risk of developing cancer.
