Family Intervention Worker
Our client, a leading Charity, is seeking to recruit a temporary Family Intervention Project Worker to support families and young people to change their behaviour, enabling them to live successfully in the community. This is an urgent vacancy based in East London.
Essential Requirements:
-At least two years experience of working directly with families displaying challenging behaviour in one or more of the following fields: social work, probation, mental health, health, family work, education, youth and community
-Knowledge of the Child Protection act and Safeguarding
-Ability to demonstrate effective interventions in enabling young people and/or adults to improve their life skills
-Access to own transport
-An enhanced CRB issued within the last 12 months
Key responsibilities:
- To provide a ‘key working role to a caseload of 5 families (0-19 age children) referred to the project;
- Assessing families needs
-Developing action plans, setting and reviewing targets
- Providing interventions including support and sanctions and coordinating the input of other service providers
-To ensure that risk assessments are carried out and that Child Protection policies and procedures are implemented at all times
- To maintain effective liaison and working relationships with all relevant agencies
