Save the Children’s fast-moving press office is looking for a proactive and experienced media manager to lead our media work on global emergencies and support media around the EVERYONE campaign.
You will be on the ground as soon as emergency hits, working in a high-pressure environment to deliver powerful and wide-reaching media on our emergency response, our issues and around our emergency appeal. You will come up with creative and high impact ideas to keep emergencies in the news once the media spotlight has turned away. When not in the field, you will help us push for change for children around the world, identifying hard news and feature stories and successfully pitching them to major media outlets, across print, broadcast and online. You will work with teams in the UK and across country programmes, motivating and supporting them to create big media moments and react fast to opportunities to get Save the Children’s messages and issues out there.
