We are now a major provider of foster care placements throughout Scotland.

As a supervising social worker you will contribute to the recruitment, training and assessment of new carers, and take a lead in placement planning, matching and review processes, for a maximum of 12 carers based in our Leeds office.

You will receive full support and supervision but must also be confident and capable of working autonomously and have excellent communication, assessment and decision making skills.

Experience of working with looked after children and sound knowledge of placement issues, ability to develop and sustain excellent working relationships with a wide range of colleagues and customers and a real enthusiasm for the best aspects of family placement are essential requirements for the role.

Duties:
· General recruitment of foster carers for the agency.
· Training, in group setting, of prospective foster carers.
· Assessment of foster carers.
· Presentations at Agency Fostering Panel and local authority fostering
panels.
· Providing support and supervision to foster carers as their supervising
social worker.

· Attend case conferences, planning meetings, child care reviews and
contribute to decision making.

A generous salary commensurate to experience and benefits package including
Car Allowance, On-call Allowance and Health Insurance.
