The ALMA Strategy Group has now successfully recruited to a number of posts in the new operational structure and is now looking to appoint volunteers to fill two posts on a voluntary basis:

1. Communications Officer
2. Project Link Officer for Mozambique

The post of Communications Officer is responsible for co-ordinating and publicising the work that ALMA undertakes on behalf of the Diocese of London. Working with the Diocesan Communication Officer and other voluntary staff working for the Diocese to ensure that information about ALMA is readily available and up to date and will co-ordinate and support the ALMA Reps meetings.

The essential requirements for this post are:
• Effective communications skills, written oral and interpersonal
• Reasonable level Computer literacy skills
• Ability to write reports and present information for a variety of audiences
• Ability to edit and lay out material
• Ability to act as an ambassador for ALMA and the Diocese of London

The Project Link Officer will work with the 2 Bishops and Link Officers in Mozambique to identify projects that could be supported through funds raised and to ensure that these projects are successfully completed.

The essential requirements for this post are:
• Good communication skills.
• Good negotiating skills.
• Ability to prepare financial and other reports
• Knowledge and experience of Project Management techniques.

It is anticipated that each role will be one day per week, based either at offices in Pimlico, SW1 or homeworking.

These appointments are on a voluntary basis, with out of pocket expenses and an honorarium being paid.
